The High Sheriff Recognises Stockport Lads Club
The High Sheriff of Manchester - Mrs Mary-Liz Walker JP DL - presented Stockport Lads Club the pictured certificate on the 20th of March 2024.
Mrs Walker presented the certificate to the club and the volunteers in recognition of all the work they have done and continue to do for the Stockport community and all the young boys and girls of Stockport and for providing them with the educational and recreational opportunities that are sadly, disappearing in many regions of the country.
The certificate was received by Chris Barber (Club Secretary) and Colin Hall (Club Chair) on behalf of all the committee, staff, and volunteers and it celebrates the longevity and tireless work that everyone associated with the Club does for the good of the community.
Vernon Charitable Foundation
Thanks to Stockport's very own Vernon Building Society and their Charitable Foundation who this week presented a check at the Stockport lads Club ABC
for £3,,045
The monies donated will go towards helping Stockport Lads Club ABC provide much needed updated and newer equipment and help with the training facilities at the Lads Club. The donation will also go some way in helping the Boxing Club expand and thrive in providing a great opportunities for the youth in the area.

A massive thank you must go to the Vernon Building Society and their Charitable Foundation from all of us at the Club for, not just this donation, but for all the work they do in the Stockport community
